Oh, don’t be so long winded, please,
You greats, whose works are so inspiring.
Words that weave and braid and tease,
Drag tight, wet knots that I find tiring.
Just make them dodge, and wave their banners,
Colored ribbons, rippling, fragrant
But pity me, and mind your manners;
Some of them wear out their welcome, flagrant!
